Meet Julie and Dave, the husband-and-wife scooping team behind Royal Doody Scoopers.
Meet Julie, the heart behind Royal Doody Scoopers.
Julie is the proud owner of Royal Doody Scoopers, a devoted animal lover, wife, mother, and grandmother who, at 64 years young, has absolutely no intention of embracing full retirement anytime soon!
She loves animals of all kinds, enjoys working outdoors, and believes that exceptional customer service isn't just something a business should promise. It's something customers should actually experience.
Her personal motto is simple: “Do the right thing, every time.” And at Royal Doody Scoopers, those aren't just words.

What makes Royal Doody Scoopers different?
One of the things Julie takes the most pride in is her commitment to keeping customers' yards clean, week after week, regardless of what Mother Nature has planned.
Rather than simply canceling service when rain, snow, or other inclement weather is in the forecast and promising to pick up twice as much the following week, Julie carefully evaluates the weather and her scooping schedule, often rearranging routes to get jobs done a day earlier or later. She also personally notifies customers whenever changes are needed instead of relying solely on the app to let them know when the team will arrive.
It's extra work behind the scenes, but she believes customers deserve consistent service and clear communication, not excuses. Recent Google reviews have emphasized that commitment to communication, something Julie is especially proud of as Royal Doody Scoopers approaches its two-year milestone.
In nearly two years of business, after servicing hundreds of yards and completing well over a thousand cleanups, only a handful of weekly visits have had to be skipped entirely because of the weather. That's a track record she's proud of!
A family business with old-fashioned values
Today, Julie and her husband, Dave, are the scooping team behind Royal Doody Scoopers. And while their bodies occasionally remind them they're not 25 anymore, their determination to provide dependable, high-quality service hasn't slowed down!
Keeping the schedule on track isn't always easy, especially when Mother Nature decides not to cooperate. But Julie believes doing the right thing sometimes means going the extra mile, literally.
For Julie, Royal Doody Scoopers is about much more than picking up dog poop. It's about earning trust, honoring commitments, treating people fairly, and providing the kind of personal service that's becoming harder and harder to find. Because when Julie says she'll take care of your yard, she means it.
Our vision for the future
At Royal Doody Scoopers, we're thinking BIG! With the pet waste removal industry continuing to grow, we believe Royal Doody Scoopers has tremendous potential for expansion in the years ahead.
Our goal is to become the premier pet waste removal company throughout downstate Illinois, known for exceptional customer service, reliability, and always doing the right thing. But our vision goes far beyond cleaning yards.
As we grow, we plan to create rewarding employment opportunities with excellent wages and, eventually, an outstanding benefits package that we hope will include company vehicles for our scooping teams.
Growing a business that gives back
One of our biggest dreams is to use the success of Royal Doody Scoopers to provide meaningful financial support to both dog and cat rescues throughout our communities. Why both dogs and cats? There's a very personal story behind that commitment.
Six years ago, Julie's dear friend Bonnie passed away, leaving behind 17 indoor cats and 11 outdoor cats in need of care, socialization, and loving homes. Julie became involved in helping those cats find homes and gained an even deeper appreciation for the extraordinary dedication of people involved in animal rescue.
Cat rescuers, in particular, often work tirelessly with limited resources, struggling to cover even the basics of food, veterinary care, and the essential costs of spaying and neutering. That experience left a lasting impression on Julie and strengthened her determination to help those who devote so much of their time, energy, and personal finances to caring for abandoned and unwanted animals.
Julie has already begun providing financial support to animal rescue efforts. As Royal Doody Scoopers grows and additional funds become available, she plans to make charitable giving a much more significant part of the company's mission.
Our dream is simple: Build a successful business, create great jobs, and use that success to make life better for animals and the people who care for them.
