Terms
1. Service Agreement & Acceptance
By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These apply to all services provided by Royal Doody Scoopers unless otherwise specified in writing.
2. Payment Terms
All services, except for special free scoop offers when available, must be prepaid. If payment hasn’t been received before we head out for your appointment, we won’t be able to perform the cleanup. You’ll be contacted to reschedule once payment is complete.
A secure portal is used for all payments. If you didn’t onboard via our website, we’ll create a login and send it to your email. Setup takes under 2 minutes.
We understand that some people prefer to pay cash due to identity theft or fraud on their credit or debit cards. We will work with you on this. An invoice will be generated, as it is for those paying by credit card, but we can only work with you if payment for the month is paid before the first scoop of the month is completed; otherwise, scooping will be rescheduled until payment is made.
3. Access to Property
You do not need to be home during service, but we must have clear, safe access to the yard. Locked gates, aggressive pets, or blocked access may result in a skipped visit, and the visit may be charged depending on the situation.
If your friendly dog has never met our technician before and you are home, please introduce them, or keep them inside until the next appointment. Please do not let dogs into the yard during service without confirming with us first, even if they are timid. This helps prevent unexpected behavior and ensures a safe experience for everyone.
4. Yard Conditions
Yards must be reasonably maintained and free from hazards such as tall grass, ice, flooding, excessive leaves, or large debris. If we cannot perform service safely or effectively, the visit may be skipped or rescheduled. Excessive waste due to long-term buildup may result in additional charges.
In the fall, please plan to get the leaves raked up as soon as possible. If we cannot see it, we cannot scoop it. We will scoop any doody that we see on the top. In the winter, sometimes we are dealing with snow accumulation. If the snow is currently falling and travel is hazardous, we will reschedule because we live in the country and cannot usually get to the sites. We will come and scoop when the weather clears and continue scooping what we can see without digging into the snow. There is no discount for these services because when the snow melts, then we will be doing major cleanups of what we couldn’t see before.
5. Missed Visits & Rescheduling
If your gate is locked, your dog is unrestrained and unfriendly, or the yard is inaccessible for any reason, you may still be charged for the visit. We do not guarantee same-day rescheduling.
6. Weather Policy
We scoop in most weather (rain, snow, or shine), but extreme conditions (e.g., severe storms, lightning, extreme cold or heat) may require rescheduling for safety. We’ll notify you if your visit is delayed.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee
We’re committed to providing thorough, reliable service every time. If you’re not satisfied with a cleanup, please contact us within 24 hours, and we’ll return to re-clean the area at no additional charge.
Our goal is always 100% satisfaction, and we appreciate the opportunity to make things right if something isn’t up to standard.
8. Liability Disclaimer
Royal Doody Scoopers is not responsible for damage to lawns, landscaping, sprinkler heads, fences, or gates unless caused by gross negligence. Interactions with pets are at the owner’s risk.
9. Use of Photos/Testimonials
We may take photos of gates (for confirmation) or use customer feedback in our marketing. No personal or identifying information will be shared. If you’d prefer we don’t use your content, just let us know.
10. Policy Updates
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website or communicated via email.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Pay?
All services (except first-scoop promotions) must be prepaid through our secure client portal. If you didn’t sign up through our website, we’ll create your login and email it to you.
You can:
- View invoices and service history
- Link your card
- Automatically pay and receive receipts
If your card is not on file before the appointment, service will not be provided unless arrangements have been made with the owner, Julie.
When Is Payment Due?
- Recurring Clients: Billed on the 1st of the month
- One-Time Clients: Billed at scheduling
- First Scoop Free: When offered, covers up to 60 minutes of scooping. If more time is needed, we’ll offer a paid deep-clean for any additional time, if needed and agreed upon.
What Time Will You Arrive?
We optimize routes daily and typically scoop between 7:30 AM and dark. During the school year, earlier start times help us stay efficient and serve more customers.
You’ll receive a text alert 5-60 minutes in advance.
Your scoop day will remain consistent unless we notify you of a change in advance.
Do I Need to Be Home?
Nope! Just make sure your gate is unlocked and your pets are friendly. We can scoop with dogs in the yard if they’re non-aggressive.
If your friendly dog has never met our technician before and you are home, please introduce them, or keep them inside until the next appointment. Please do not let dogs into the yard during service without confirming with us first, even if they are timid. This helps prevent unexpected behavior and ensures a safe experience for everyone.
What If My Cleanup Falls on a Holiday?
We do our best to come before the holiday. If not possible, we’ll skip that week and provide double doody service the following week.
Charge still applies due to the extra volume of waste.
Do You Disinfect Your Equipment?
Yes. All tools are cleaned after each visit using an organic, kennel-grade disinfectant to prevent the spread of germs.
Do You Take the Waste Away?
No. Due to volume, we do not haul waste. If your trash bin is outside, we’ll use it. Otherwise, we’ll double/triple-bag the waste and leave it neatly by your gate.
