Pet Waste Removal in Peoria

A clean yard without the chore.

Royal Doody Scoopers is a husband-and-wife business. Julie founded it and runs it with her husband, Dave. We work for busy parents, older adults and anyone who would rather spend their time on something other than scooping the yard.

On each visit we walk the yard and pick up the waste we find, on a schedule that suits your dogs.

Peoria Service Guide

Pet waste removal for busy Peoria households.

Peoria sits at the west end of the I-74 corridor we serve. This guide covers what service looks like for a Peoria family yard that gets used every day, from choosing a plan to your first cleanup.

When the yard is part of daily life

If kids and dogs share your backyard, it may get used every day: kids playing, dogs running along the fence, the whole family outside on a warm evening. A yard used that much is worth keeping clear.

In a busy yard, waste can get stepped in and tracked into the house. Picking it up yourself can turn into one more chore at the end of a long day, and a week or two can slip by without anyone getting to it.

For yards like this we suggest weekly service, our most popular plan and the one we recommend for homes with more than one dog. A week is not long enough for much to pile up, so the yard stays ready to use between visits.

Who we work for

Julie founded Royal Doody Scoopers, and she runs it with her husband, Dave, from Bloomington-Normal. Our customers include busy parents, older adults and people who value their free time. Julie describes the team as friendly, consistent and thorough, and she sums up the service in six words: Your yard. Your time. Our job.

None of our plans need a contract, and you don't need to be home on scoop day. That helps when the week is already full of work, school and everything else.

Friendly dogs and scoop day

Friendly dogs can stay in the yard while we work after our team has met them first. Before each visit you get a text alert 5 to 60 minutes ahead, so you have time to call the dogs in if you would rather keep them inside.

If you are home and your dog hasn't met our technician yet, please introduce them, or keep the dog inside until the next visit. Please check with us before letting a dog into the yard while we are working, even a shy one. It keeps the visit safe for your dog and for our technician.

Getting a price for a Peoria yard

We don't publish one price for every yard. The cost depends on how big your yard is and how often you want us to come. The online quote gives you a number for your yard and confirms whether we cover your Peoria address. If you have a question before you start, send us a message.

After you sign up

Once you sign up online, we contact you to answer any remaining questions and schedule your first cleanup. If it has been more than 3 weeks since the yard was last cleaned thoroughly, that first visit is an initial cleanup, and its cost depends on how much waste we remove.

After that, regular visits keep to the same scoop day each week, every two weeks or once a month, depending on your plan. We only change the day after telling you ahead of time.

Peoria FAQ

Common questions in Peoria.

If your question isn't on the list, send us a message.

Do you serve every address in Peoria?

Peoria is one of the towns we serve. Coverage is confirmed for each address when you start a quote, so use the Get a Quote link to check yours.

What makes weekly service better than other frequencies?

Weekly service prevents waste from accumulating and keeps your yard in good shape. It's especially recommended for families with multiple dogs or those who use their yard often.

Do I need to be home during the service?

No. As long as your yard is accessible without your assistance, you do not need to be home during your scheduled service. Friendly dogs can stay in the yard after our team has met them first.

Dogs in Peoria

Places to take your dog in Peoria.

When your dog needs more room than the backyard, the Peoria Park District has a few good options.

  • Bradley Park dog parks

Bradley Park has two fenced dog parks, an upper and a lower, open sunrise to sunset for well-behaved dogs 4 months and older.

  • Vicary Bottoms Park

A 15-acre free-run area near Kickapoo Creek. It isn't fenced, so it suits well-trained dogs, and dogs need a county rabies tag and a leash on the way in and out.

  • Rock Island Greenway

This paved trail runs about 13 miles from the Alta and Dunlap area to downtown Peoria. Dogs are welcome on a leash of 6 feet or less, and the park district asks you to pick up after them.

Rules and hours can change, so check the Peoria Park District's site before you go. Back home, the yard is our job.
